About this Recipe

Add a couple tablespoons of almond flour to make the granola to stick together more if desired. This recipe yields a large quantity of granola. Use gluten free oats to make it gluten free!

Ingredients

3 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds (Raw)
1/2 Cup Pepitas (Raw)
1/2 Cup Slivered Almonds
1/2 Cup Walnuts
1/2 Cup Coconut Flakes (Added At The End)
1/3 tsp Salt
3/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/3 Cup Coconut Oil (Melted)
Alternative(s):
1/3 Cup Avocado Oil
1/3 Cup Grapeseed Oil
5 Tbsp Maple Syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the nuts, oatmeal, cinnamon, and salt.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix together the oil (melted if using coconut), and maple syrup.

Step 4

Combine the oat and nut mixture with the oil and syrup mixture. Press the mixture down onto the baking sheet.

Step 5

Bake for 15 minutes, and then add the coconut flakes.

Step 6

Cook for another 10 minutes or until the coconut is golden.

Step 7

Let cool. Break the granola apart and store it in an airtight container after it as cooled completely.
