About this Recipe

This is one of those favorite FU meals!! If you have the foresight to have premixed taco seasoning on hand please feel free to use that, but the list of spices are here just in case. Also feel free to use any meat you have on hand. This recipe works with just about anything from beans, beef, pork, or chicken too.

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 pound Ground Beef (You can use 1 pound of ANY meat)
2 teaspoons Chili Powder
2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/2 teaspoon each Salt and Pepper
2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
1/2 cup Water

For the For Serving:

8 Flour Tortillas
Alternative(s):
8 Corn Tortillas
Lettuce of Choice (shredded)
Cherry Tomatoes (chopped)
Cheddar Cheese (shredded - or any cheese of choice)
Sour Cream
Black Olives (chopped)

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in skillet over medium high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any fat.

Step 2

Add the chili powder, cumin, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, tomato paste and water. Stir to combine and continue cooking over medium-low heat until the sauce has thickened, about 3-5 minutes

Step 3

Serve warm over tortillas with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and olives, or your other desired toppings.
