About this Recipe

If you want to change this to a crock pot/slow cook recipe complete all steps through step 3 and then simply cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Shred chicken and coat in the sauce from the slow cooker. Feel free to add spices to the crock pot to give this recipe some more flavor!

2 Lbs Chicken Breasts

1/4 Cup Chicken Broth

18 Oz Barbecue Sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Add the olive oil to the bottom of the Instant Pot. 

Step 2

Add in the chicken and then pour in the barbecue sauce. Mix until the chicken is well coated.

Step 3

Add in the chicken stock.

Step 4

Make sure the steam valve is closed, and lock on the lid. Set the timer to “manual” and then “10 minutes.”

Step 5

Let it naturally release for another 10 minutes.

Step 6

Release the valve to let out any remaining steam. Open the lid and shred the chicken with two forks.
