About this Recipe

Remember the days of "Hamburger Helpers"? This is a more refined option that can be a great family staple on any busy weeknight.

Ingredients

1 pound Egg noodles (16 oz. cooked)
1.25 pounds Ground Beef (lean meat - add a pinch of salt while cooking)
2 cans Canned Diced Tomatoes (with Italian Herbs - 14.5 oz cans)
2 cans Green beans (cut and drained - 14.5 oz. cans)
2 cups Colby Jack Cheese (shredded)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2

Cook noodles according to package instructions, then set aside.

Step 3

While the noodles cook, in a large pan cook the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until no more pink shows (about 5 minutes). Add in diced tomatoes and green beans and stir. Add in a pinch of salt.

Step 4

In a large casserole dish add noodles and beef mixture. Sprinkle cheese on top.

Step 5

At this point you can bake immediately or cover and put in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
When you are ready to bake let the casserole come back to room temperature while the oven preheats.
Then, bake for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
