Healthy 4 Ingredient No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars!

AKA–The only food I’m currently consuming with all this stress.
These are vegan, gluten free, and so stinking easy to make! You can also make them keto or paleo if you sub the oat flour with almond or coconut flour. You do you, boo!
I don’t share a whole lot of food recipes, because you guys…I just can’t bring myself to crunch up little pieces of chocolate, or go pick some pretty flowers to put on a perfectly arranged plate, or drizzle some beautiful sauce in the shape of a heart. I am so not Pintersty. But, this recipe is too good, and too simple not to share in a time when peanut butter brings a little warmth to the darkness.
All you need is:
Peanut Butter (or another nut butter), 1 cup
Oat Flour (or almond flour), 1/2 cup
Maple Syrup (the non gross kind), 1/4 cup + 2 TBSP
Chocolate Chips, 1 cup
How to make:
Stupid easy, you guys. Simply mix the peanut butter, flour and maple syrup together. I use a food processor to really get it mixed nicely! Add a spray of non-stick cooking spray or lay down some parchment paper. I used a 6×8 food storage container with one of those snapping lids. Spread out the peanut butter mixture. Then, place the chocolate chips in a bowl and microwave in 30 second increments, stirring thoroughly each time. It will probably take 1.5-2 minute of microwave time, but you need to stir every 30 seconds so they don’t burn. Spread over the top of the peanut butter and then pop the tray into the freezer if you are impatient or fridge.
These store nicely for quite some time.

  1. I have made these WAY TOO OFTEN this week! I have been using 1/4 rice flour instead of oat flour, then stirring in about 1/3c whole oats. I topped them with coconut milk caramel the other day before adding the chocolate layer = PB millionaire bars!

Can you use whole wheat flour?

Sure! Should still work the same!

No! Wheat flour can contain ecoli, and can make you very sick if you don’t cook it.

Loved this! Made it my own by using tahini and dates in place of PB…. Made it deliciously caramelly (is it a word?) And meant I could reduce maple syrup too x

Just a note… for anyone wanting to sub wheat flour, please toast in oven first to make safe to eat (it also will help with that raw flour flavors 😉)

    I’m making these today!!! Yum

I’m not a maple syrup fan… there a good substitute or can you not taste the maple?
