I started SLAM in May. I was very lost. Having had a very athletic background before pregnancy. Not knowing what to do with my very bad DR. I had a fist full wide gap and a very deep DR. Saw two pelvic floor therapist with one telling me I wouldn’t be able to repair.

Ashley’s workouts and her cues have really changed the way I go about working out, and about thinking of myself. I’ve been getting back into Olympic lifts but still incorporating the core exercises. So I’m very excited for SLAM Core to come out.  I’m now 15 months postpartum and pray my core will continue to improve.

I am so happy with this program! I just finished SLAM. I just want to encourage all of you that are just beginning and feeling down.

This program is worth its weight in gold! Seriously! When I started SLAM I had significant symptoms because I had a level 2 bladder, uterine, and rectal prolapse. I also had a very weak linea alba. I could stick my finger past the second knuckle in between them. I also have an umbilical hernia.

I have 6 years of CrossFit experience and not one time was I taught how to properly engage my core or protect my pelvic floor. It’s not because the coaches didn’t care…they just don’t know. I had so much leaking, back pain, problems going to the bathroom and was planning surgery for a hysterectomy and pelvic floor repair.

I decided to go ahead and give SLAM a try when the gyms all shut down. I knew about Ashley before but I just loved CrossFit so much I didn’t want to do anything different.

She knows how to train a woman’s body. I can feel a difference. Not only do I not leak anymore, I have no back pain, and going to the bathroom is so much easier that I don’t plan to move forward with the surgery. I just don’t need it anymore!

I can run and play with the kids, I can jump on the trampoline with them without having to change my clothes, I can even do double unders with no leaking!!! My core feels stronger than it ever has. I feel stronger than I ever felt doing CrossFit! I can’t even imagine how great I will feel when I am done breastfeeding.

On the appearance side of things: my legs and booty!  My butt looks better now at 41 than it looked at 21. I have never had much of a booty. I just couldn’t get it to lift and round out. It is so fun to see the changes! I had a hard time getting pictures because I don’t have a full length mirror in my house right now. I didn’t take before pictures because I honestly just didn’t expect to see these kinds of changes. This program is the full shebang! Keep at it ladies. It is SO worth it! P.S. I am 22 months postpartum with #4. On to Slam Advanced!!

I just wanna say a huge thank you to Ashley because her program basically got me back to the life I used to have before I had a kid! I was a competitive netball player, a gym goer and basically loved working out. But my pelvic floor gave up on me after I had my kid.

In my 3rd trimester, I developed a hernia and my OB told me that it was due to a weak pelvic floor and my job as a Physical Educator was causing more strain. So you would think after giving birth there would be some follow up to this weak pelvic floor issue but nope. I saw a PT and was ensured my DR was closed and went right back to lifting and running.

"Little did I know that my weak pelvic floor was further gutted by this return to intensive exercise."

A year postpartum and I could no longer do back to back lessons or demonstrate any form of jumping movement without leaking pee. It was crippling and embarrassing. I considered wearing pantyliners to school while teaching.

Then I came across your account and started following it. Did a free trial and really liked what I saw. I completed SLAM Bridge halfway and moved on to SLAM and the improvement I experienced is massive!!! I could now do intensive workouts again, I finally relearned how to brace my core when lifting heavy.

Back & Hip Pain

I just finished SLAM Bridge and I feel so much stronger. I am not the typical mom here. I am 50 and started GMS to get my core stronger after a hysterectomy. Pelvic Pain

I have gained the ability to play with my kids. I mean really play and be in the moment – not out of breath barely keeping up, sitting on the couch as they run back and forth. I want to give a major shoutout to the SLAM Pregnancy program. Although I only got to week 30 before I was medically advised to lighten my routine, it was still effective. Here are some labor and delivery wins:

My OBGYN described my experience as “delivery yoga”. She said she’s never seen someone breathe a baby out. A nurse told me to hold my breath and bear down, I told her NO because I was going to take a deep breath and breathe her out. Proved her wrong!
My pelvic floor & abs were a lot stronger this time! I birthed my 2nd big baby at 8lbs, 5 oz with ease (first was 9lbs, 10 oz).

I will see a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to continue healing. I would’ve never asked my doc before this program.
